Specialty CDs
Our football video inventory has expanded so much that we have developed Specialty CDs that house video clips from all over the nation. These discs have no rules text, but each video clip is identified by R/S/A. This makes them ideal for use in conjunction with the Football Rules CD to get double the amount of clips for study group discussions or individual rules study.
See NEWSLETTER: Applying Digital Video Technology for a brief description of these Football Specialty CDs.
Rulebook CD Demo
For a demo of our Football CDs, see Streaming Video Tour: Football Rulebook CD Tips and Tricks. Basic features and navigation tools will be demonstrated that may help the 1st time user, as well as those of you who have been long time supporters of our products.
Study Groups: Instructional Aids
Use a Computer-to-TV Converter to show the digital videos from the CD on a TV screen to enhance your Study Group sessions. All of our CD-ROM products are capable of promoting lively discussions in your college and/or high school education meetings. The STUDY GROUP CD is proving to be especially helpful in high school sessions.
Go to Computer to TV Converter to print a brief description of this visual study aid and where to find it.
This is your $100.00 alternative to the more expensive LCD projector and will provide significant enhancement to your group instruction. Use of the Study Group and Rulebook CDs in this format is gaining popularity in many weekly rules classes across the country.
For A Really Good Time
For a really good time, Football CD-ROM users can log on to Rom Gilbert's internet site at www.atlantic.net/~gilbertr/ and simultaneously run our NCAA Football Rules and Interpretations on CD-ROM program. For those of you who are not familiar with him, Rom has experience as a Division I referee. His site contains CCA rules tests, quizzes and interpretations. Toggle back and forth between the two to enhance your study efforts*.
Here's how:
Put in our RULEBOOKS disc and start the program.
Go to Rom's site and "minimize" it.
Minimize means to take down off of the monitor screen whatever you had up on the screen without closing or terminating the program. For first-timers, look to the upper right hand corner of your monitor where you see the dash ( _ ), a box, and an "X". Move your cursor over the dash and click it. Whatever program you had on the monitor will be minimized or moved off of the screen. The program name now appears at the footer bar (Task Bar) at the very bottom of your monitor.
Eliminate (Close) any other minimized programs so that only the RULEBOOKS disc and Rom's site remain listed on the footer bar.
You can then recall either program by clicking the program name at the bottom footer bar or by depressing the ALT key with your left thumb and clicking the TAB key with your index finger.
* For an added benefit, open the "FootballNotes.doc" document (which can be downloaded right from our site) and include this in a 3-way toggle fest to enter your own personal notes.
Don't forget to break for food and water!
